Obituary For Elva C. Letzkus

July 1, 1949 - November 1, 2015

LETZKUS, ELVA CLARE (DAUBE)

Age 66, of Whitehall, on Sunday, November 1, 2015, after a ten month battle with pancreatic cancer. Beloved wife of 44 years of Joseph Letzkus; devoted mother of Maureen (Scott) Staub and Stephanie Letzkus (the late Jeffrey Boggess); adoring grandmother of Eleanor and Imogen Boggess and Emmett Staub. Also survived by her mother, Irene De Mare; brothers, David (Trish) Daube and Randy (Lynn) Daube and many nephews, nieces and friends. Elva's great joy in life was her family. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Wednesday from 2-8 p.m. Funeral prayer on Thursday morning at 9:45. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Germaine Church at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, Elva requested that donations be made to Whitehall Public Library, 100 Borough Park Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15236 or the Wounded Warriors Project, One Oxford Centre, 301 Grant Street, Attn: Donor Services, Pittsburgh, PA 15219.
