Obituary For Ernest D. "Ernie" McKee

Ernest "Ernie" McKee, age 82, on September 15, 2025, of McKees Rocks, formerly of Castle Shannon.

Loving father of Bonnie Sampson and Kevin McKee; grandfather of Marc Sampson; former husband of Diane Schaefer. Ernie was a member of the Train Collectors Association. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Friday, September 19, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of a Blessing Service at 12:00 noon.

    So sorry to read of the loss of Ernie. We always called him "Big Ern" Belmawr wont be the same without his neighborly kindness. Willa and Isaac adored seeing him chopping wood in the back yard when we'd visit with Ernies neighbor. They were super nebby, but LOVED his passion for model trains. He'd always gave the dog treats and helped to keep an eye on the kids!!! We'll miss you Ern!
