Obituary For Faith Anne (Caracci) Deigan

Age 79, passed away on Monday, March 15, 2021, of Jefferson Hills, formerly of South Park.

Beloved wife of 62 years to James Deigan; loving mother of Mark (Joan) Deigan; cherished grandmother of Jennifer, Melissa, Audrey, Erin, Charles and Raymond Deigan; proud great-grandmother of Camaro, Annabelle and Brooklyn; caring sister of Giacinta Diana Cipollone, John Caracci and the late Anthony and Robert (survived by Anna) Caracci. Also survived by numerous, loving nieces and nephews. Faith was a graduate of the St. Joseph High School, Mt. Oliver and the University of Pittsburgh where she earned her Master of Business Administration degree (MBA). She was the former vice-president of Jefferson Hospital and Regional CEO of Healthsouth Rehabilitation Hospitals. Faith was the former owner of Ridgepoint Personal Care and Merryheart Retirement Residence, both located in Baldwin. She loved worldwide travel; she and her husband played every top golf course in the U.S. and Canada. Faith was a member of the South Park Women's Golf League and a member of St. Thomas A' Becket Roman Catholic Church in Jefferson Hills. She was an avid gardener and loved her flowers. She was also an animal lover; she loved her birds and her family dog, Roxie. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Thursday, March 18, 2021 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral prayer on Friday morning at 9:15. Mass of Christian Burial in Triumph of the Holy Cross Parish, St. Thomas A' Becket Church, Jefferson Hills at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery. Masks are required and social distancing guidelines must be adhered to.

    My friend told me of Faiths passing. yesterday...At Nativity Church/ South Park we had an annual Pantry Sale, sponsored by the our Ladies of Charity. Faith was a huge supporter of it, as she loved her pound cakes and all the other homemade bake goods! May this lovely lady rest in peace leaving us with many fond memories!

    I was very sorry to read about Faith in the Post Gazette. I recognized her name immediately. I was the MBA Director when Faith was getting her MBA at the University of Pittsburgh. I am sorry we did not keep in touch afterwards. She had an amazing career in healthcare. Josephine Olson

    "Jim & Mark I am so sorry to hear of your loss. You have my deepest condolences. I worked with Faith at St. Joseph's Hospital and Jefferson Hospital. I will always remember the day Faith and I went for a helicopter ride over the then construction site of South Hills Health System - Jefferson Hospital. My husband, Vic, also worked for Faith.     In honor of Faith, who led HealthSouth Greater Pittsburgh in creating a hospital filled with team pride, lifetime friendships, and exemplary patient outcomes. Her legacy lives on in those of us lucky enough to have been on her team. Sincere sympathy to her family.

    So sorry to hear of Faiths passing. Faith was a tremendous mentor to so many during her successful healthcare career. Faith mentored my when I was a member of her leadership team at Healthsouth Great Pittsburgh and when she thought I was ready, she was responsible for placing me in my first Hospital CEO role.
