Obituary For Frank A. "Fritz" LaBarbera

December 11, 1926 - March 8, 2015

LaBarbera, Frank A. "Fritz" Age 88, on Sunday, March 8, 2015, of Baldwin Boro.

Husband of the late Antonette "Toni" (Argentieri) LaBarbera; father of Rose (Paul) Hoffmann, Anthony (Linda) LaBarbera and Frank (Darleen) LaBarbera; proud Pap of Paul James, Joe, Katie, Chas, Dan, Nick, Peter and Ryan; brother of the late Sister Giovanna, OCD and Francis Kenbok. Fritz was very active in St. Elizabeth Parish as an usher, and was involved with their Spring-O-Rama and church bingo. He served in the Navy during WWII and Korea. He was an avid outdoorsman and taxidermist and enjoyed his family. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227, Thursday from 2-8 p.m. Funeral Prayer on Friday morning at 9:15. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church at 10 AM. In lieu of flowers, family suggests contributions to St. Elizabeth of Hungary, Campaign to Remember, Renew and Renovate, 1 Grove Place, Pittsburgh, PA 15236.

    My most sincere condolences to the whole family. My dad (Joe Nicola) was friends with Mr. LaBarbera, and I still remember his service at St. E's when I was growing up there. May God grant him eternal rest and peace.
