I am so sorry to hear of Frank's passing. My mom, Bea Kreutzer, had spoken to Frank last year when I was researching family history. I am a great, great niece to Aunt Jennie and have fond memories of her and Uncle John when I was younger. My grandmother, Beatrice Sauter, was Aunt Jennie's niece. My mom and I were going to meet with Frank to talk about the Lewis geneology, but unfortunately we never had the opportunity. If any of his nieces or nephews have any information or pictures I would like the opportunity to meet with you. Please send me an email at emailmjuarin@aol.com. My sincere condolences on the passing of Frank. Kim Juarin

I was very fortunate to become reacquainted with Frank in 2007 as he visited his brother Paul at The Assisted Living Facility wherein I worked as an Administrative Assistant. We both came to realize that we had met 32 years earlier where I worked in the meat department and he was a Salesman at Marraccini's grocery store in Clairton, PA. Thus began the 8 year friendship during which I was fortunate enough to listen to his stories of the beginning of Original Army Field Band (First Combat Infantry Band), and read many articles he had saved through the years as a Trumpet Player for the Army Field Band. Frank was an outstanding Trumpet Player and a Professional Band Leader as witnessed by me on several occasions when I took the Residents from the Facility to listen to his band playing the "Big Band" sounds. He was a "special" man and I can honestly say that my life was richer for knowing him. "Rest in Peace Frankie".

I'm very sad this morning to learn of Frank's passing. He was a special guy. I have known him for a number of years and always enjoyed any time we spent together. I will miss him and our many discussions about jazz and music in general. He was a musician who brought joy to many with his Dance Band. I'm sure that's he's in heaven organizing the band and getting ready for his next gig. I'll miss you, Frank, but am thankful for the years that I've known you.
