Gail (McConnell) Vetterly, 88, of Pittsburgh, passed away peacefully in her home on Thursday, November 14, 2024. Born February 1, 1936 to Fern (Fairman) McConnell and Archiebold McConnell. Gail is survived by her children, Archie Hamer, Pamela Hamer, and Jayne Neel; brother Edward McConnell; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Gail was a caring mother, grandmother and devoted wife. She was an avid dancer, an active member in the American Legion and Moose Lodge, and long time administrator within the Church. She will be deeply missed by her loved ones. Friends and family will be received at John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15227 on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, from 2-4 and 6-8p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday November 21, 2024, in Hill Top United Methodist Church, 631 E Warrington Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15211 at 11:00am. Please meet at the church.
