To the Gallagher family, I am sorry of hearing about Gary's passing. He was a great person and he was the person that welcomed me into option independent fire company as a business associate for helping with weather related problems in the Baldwin community.

Debbie. Meghan, Andrew, Riley and all Gallagher family- What a privilege it was to know Gary. It was obvious to all that knew him that he lived life as a devout Christian and it showed in many ways. He touched the lives of innumerable people in the community with his years of loyal fire service. Always genuine, and with a great wit. Even more so, he was an incredible family man who always showed pride, involvement and love for his family- Debbie, 3 girls' and 3 grands. He will be missed . We are truly saddened to hear this news. ~ Barbara Fickley and Joyce Sternagel

In June 2003 when my brother was dying from cancer, Mr. Gallagher & a fellow fireman responded to my sister-in-law's call for assistance at their Baldwin home. We were unable to transfer my brother from the couch to a hospital bed that had just been delivered. It was early evening & they came. With Mr. Gallagher's quiet leadership they respectfully, kindly, & gently lifted my brother into bed for his comfort & care. And spoke with him as though it had been no trouble at all. He was also so kind to my sister in law & acknowledged that his daughter Megan & my brother's daughter were Baldwin high school friends. I have always been so appreciative of him & have been praying for him through some of the illnesses that Mr. Gallagher endured. My prayers continue for his family now. He was a wonderful man to have been so kind & considerate & a true servant for the community over many years. I'm betting many more people have had similar experiences. Thank you Mr. Gallagher and Rest In Peace & eternal love & life. Addy Eperthener
