Obituary For George S. Morgan

September 18, 1925 - November 22, 2016

Morgan, George S. Age 91, on Tuesday, November 22, 2016, of Whitehall.

Beloved husband of Jean (Camp) Morgan for 66 years; loving father of Patti (Duane) DeArmitt and Jim (Debbie) Morgan; proud grandfather of Brian (Jamie) Covol, Eve (Butch) Reffert, Staci (George) Schmitt, Justin (Stephanie) Morgan and Jamie Morgan; adoring great-grandfather of Braylan and Layton Covol, Ellie, Patrick and Mazzie Reffert and Emslie and Ashton Schmitt. George was a proud U.S. Army Veteran serving during WWII, a member of the Masonic Lodge # 761 in Bethel Park, and a member of the Legion of Honor for the Syria Shriners. He is a retiree of Dravo Corp., Pgh, PA, and still an active member of the retirees breakfast club and the Veterans Breakfast Club. He was a 77 year member of First Presbyterian Church of Pittsburgh. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227, Saturday from 2-8 p.m and Sunday from 2-4 p.m. where funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:30 AM. If desired, family suggests contributions to Ligonier Camp and Conference Center, 188 Macartney Lane, Ligonier, PA 15658.
