Obituary For Harold J. Holland, Sr.

March 19, 1933 - August 16, 2015

Holland, Harold J., Sr. "Hal" Age 82, on Sunday, August 16, 2015, of Baldwin Boro.

Beloved husband of 60 yrs. to Yvonne B. (Clark) Holland; loving father of Harold J., Jr. (Karen), Glenn J. (Cindy), Wendy A. (Bob) Thomas and Scott A.; cherished Poppy of Danielle, Kristen, Brett, Jennifer, Harold, Bryan, Christian and Tyler; son of the late Catherine and Gilbert Waldo; brother of Richard (Mary); brother-in-law of Bernard (the late Sis) Hebda; also survived by nieces and nephews. Hal served in the US Army during the Korean War, worked for Pgh. Post-Gazette as a mailer for 54 yrs., and played and managed minor league baseball for the NY Giants and Boston Red Sox. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227, Wednesday from 1-4 and 6-9 p.m. Funeral Prayer on Thursday morning at 9:15. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Albert the Great Church at 10:00 am.
