Obituary For Harvey Lober

March 11, 1934 - January 8, 2019Lober, Harvey G., age 84, on Tuesday, January 8, 2019, of Whitehall.

Beloved husband of 64 years to Geraldine (Kovach); loving father of Valerie (Michael) Machajewski, Linda (Michael) Gulden, Donna (Charles) Krueger, Judith (Albert "Rege") Sarsfield, and Geri (Robert) Kalin; proud grandfather of 15 and great-grandfather of six; brother of Joseph and the late William, Olivia Mann and Norman. Harvey worked as a foreman for J & L Steel Southside Works in the Blooming Mill. He was a volunteer at Jefferson Hospital and a long-time, active parishioner and eucharistic minister at St. Gabriel Church. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227, on Friday, January 11, 2019 from 2-8 pm. Funeral Prayer on Saturday morning at 10:15. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Gabriel of The Sorrowful Virgin Church at 11:00 a.m. If desired, family suggests contributions to St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Virgin Church, 5200 Greenridge Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15236.
