Shoup, Jack M. Age 89, on Thursday, October 2, 2014, of West Mifflin.

Beloved husband of the late Faith (McLaughlin) Shoup; loving father of Teresa E. Shoup and the late Deborah S. Nagy; father-in-law of Robert Nagy; doting grandfather of Joshua R. (Patricia) Nagy and Rachel N.(Jeffrey) Webb; great-grandfather of Morgan Hope Webb and Mason Graham Nagy; brother of the late Richard L.; uncle of Mark (Sandy) Shoup. Served in the US Army during WWII, worked 40 years for Pittsburgh Testing Laboratories, where he retired as treasurer. Jack was a family man and was liked immediately by everyone he met. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Rd., Brentwood 15227, Friday from 7-9 p.m. and Saturday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., where funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. If desired, family suggest contributions to American Diabetes Assoc., 100 W.
