Obituary For James J. Donovan

November 13, 1934 - January 19, 2018

Donovan, James J. Age 83, peacefully surrounded by family, on Friday, January 19, 2018, of Whitehall, formerly of South Side and Mt. Oliver.

Beloved husband of 52 years to the late Kathy (Donahue); loving father of Timothy (Lisa), Thomas (Kerri), Brian and Amy (Jason) Stoker; proud grandfather of Brendan, Dylan, Kiersten, Emily, Shaun, Brady and Kevin Donovan and Kacey and Ryan Stoker; brother of the late Thomas and Donald "Dutch" Donovan and Margaret Panasko; also survived by in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Jim was a 40 plus year employee of Pennsylvania Electric Coil. He was a devoted member of Allegheny County Ancient Order of Hibernians. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227, Sunday, January 21, 2018, from 2-8 p.m. and Monday, January 22, 2018, from 2-8 p.m. Funeral Prayer on Tuesday morning at 9:15. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Sylvester Church at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, family suggests contributions to Allegheny County Ancient Order of Hibernians Scholarship Fund, 4754 Doverdell Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15236.
