Jimmy, Jimmy, Jimmy, My deepest condolences to Chris, Heather, Brent and the whole family. He was the best. We used to go out to Frank and Shirley's after DJ'ing and talk about the clubs for hours almost every week, for years. Or spend hours on the phone going over music every week. I have a lot of good memories with Jim. I will truly miss him. R.I.P. my Brotha.....

I'm sorry for your loss. Jim was a very nice man, and I am glad I knew him. I met him in 1997 when I was a DJ. My prayers are with your family.

RIP Jammin' Jim Kolich. I first met Jammin' Jim when I was hired to DJ at Matrix Nightclub back in 2003. I was 21.. He was 54... And before/after work we would hang out and talk about music like we were the same exact age. He could relate to any crowd. Techno one night. Hip Hop the next. I had the honor to learn from a true original Pittsburgh nightclub DJ and I will never forget the memories we had together working in dance clubs over the next 8 years! He was a master at programming, which means playing the right song at the right time. Also known for organizing record pools and giving nightclub DJs access to music before accessibility was easy via Internet. Even up until Friday, he was still gigging at age 66. You may be gone, but you will never be forgotten. Please spread the word with others who have worked with Jim over the past 4 decades. He was a great man. https://johnfslater.com/james-m-jammin-jim-kolich/
