Obituary For Janet (Bonicky) Jaworski

Age 71, on Saturday, April 20, 2024, of Carrick.

Beloved wife of 40 years to Donald Jaworski; loving mother of Lauren (Chris Pyle) Jaworski and Justin Jaworski; loving GeGe of Quinn, Maggie and Edward; daughter of the late Frank and Mildred Bonicky of North Side; sister of Debbie Hubert, Carol Bonicky, Dennis Bonicky and Sandy Devin. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Janet worked at Mercy Hospital for more than 40 years as a Registered Nurse. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Thursday, April 25, 2024 from 3-6 p.m. Funeral prayer on Friday morning at 9:45. Mass of Christian Burial in Blessed Trinity Parish, St. Albert the Great Church at 10:30 a.m.

    I met Janet on my very first day as a new nurse on 7Tower of Mercy Hospital over 40 years ago! From that first day she became someone I admired and respected. We shared good times and bad times together; even did Lamaze classes together! She was a wonderful caring nurse and friend! She will be missed. My deepest sympathy to Don and family.
