Obituary For Jean Eileen Davis

February 27, 1929 - February 1, 2016

Davis, Jean Eileen (Rupp), age 86, went to be with the Lord on February 1, 2016, of Sylva, NC, formerly of Pittsburgh and Lakeland, FL. Beloved wife of 60 years to the late Rev. James Davis; loving mother of Dr. Jeffrey (Sandy) and Rev. Jack (Sharon); grandmother of Annelise, Connor, Tessa, and John Davis, and June (Bryan) Raehl; great grandmother of Grace Raehl; also survived by cherished nieces and nephews. Jean was predeceased by her loving parents, Edwin and Beatrice Rupp and by brothers, Dr. Robert Rupp and Jack Rupp. Jean was a retired church organist and piano teacher.

The family will receive friends at John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Rd., Brentwood 15227, on Friday, February 5, from 10-11 am followed by a celebration of her life at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Jefferson Memorial Park.
