. Even though it's been many years since I saw him. I would still consider him a friend. That's how he made you feel. We went to the Steeler games and were lucky enough to get playoff tickets.. He was so much fun to hand out with. ... RIP Hub my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family , Jim Heidenreich

Jeff had a strong devotion to God we talked after church, many times I was amazed in the 70s. How big and strong he was in those days, and boy could he bench press the most heavy of weights,we were cousins and played and rode bikes in Maryland when family came to visit us,one of my best cherished memories.I will always remember Jeff ...cousin Don jr

I'm Saddened to hear about Hub's passing. It brings great memories from the Arco station days from the 70's. He was an all around good guy! George, Vic and family you have my condolences and deepest sympathy. RIP Hub......

I want the express my sympathy to George and all of Jeff's family. I had the pleasure of coaching Jeff in football at Keystone Oaks. He was an amazing defensive lineman. As a junior he played defensive tackle. His greatest contribution that year was when we had an offensive scrimmage and he played nose guard. Our offensive linemen had a very difficult time blocking him. They became better blockers by playing against him. As a senior he played nose guard and his strength, quickness and ability to diagnose plays made it impossible for our opponents to block him. That made our defense very difficult run against. It was very rewarding for me, our coaches and teammates to know him as an athlete and person. Don Murray

I met Jeff when I moved to Castle Shannon in the ninth grade. We became fast friends. He was an amazing athlete with surprisingly lightning speed and uncanny strength. He played middle guard on defense for our high school football team. So many parties at that age with Hubro telling funny stories until we cried. I still remember so many of his one liners 50 years later. I'll miss you bro. See you again JP Hostetler
