Obituary For Jeffrey J. Moad

Age 65, of Bethel Park, after a brave battle with cancer and after willing to endure any treatments available with calm strength, passed away on Saturday, June 3, 2023. Born on November 2, 1957 in Kansas City, Missouri.

Beloved husband of Holly Moad; loving father of Ryan (Beth) Moad, Ali (Pat) Nygaard and Audrey Moad; cherished grandfather of Parker and Madeline Nygaard and Ari and Ayla Moad.

Jeff worked for Bombardier Transportation (previously known as AEG and Adtranz) for 31 years and continued his career at Mastech Digital until 2023. In the course of his career, he enjoyed travel to worldwide destinations such as Singapore, Germany, England, South Africa, India, Mexico, and Canada. His hard work, diligence, ethics, and accuracy inspired much respect in his field. He leaves behind a legacy of unwavering love for his family and the Kansas City Chiefs. He will also be remembered for his loyalty to his alma mater Florida State University.

Friends and family will be received at his Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, June 9, 2023 in St. Catherine Laboure Parish, St. Louise de Marillac Church at 10:30 a.m. Arrangements handled by John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jeffrey’s name to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 862, Carnegie, PA 15106.

    Dear Holly, Please know how very sorry and stunned I am to hear of Jeff's passing. Jan and Bob emailed those of us in our tight nit high school/college group, and a flood of wonderful memories have come to mind these past couple of days, all with Jeff's warm laugh and smile.
