Obituary For Jimmy McGrath

May 2, 1968 - February 4, 2018 McGrath, James John "Jimmy", suddenly on Sunday, February 4, 2018. Beloved husband of Cathy McGrath; loving father of Allison and Katie McGrath; cherished son of Jim and Rita McGrath; loving brother of Krissy (Jeff) Bright and Mark (Jen) McGrath and the late Kelli McGrath; loving uncle of Jimmy and Alexa McGrath. Also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Jimmy was a Respiratory Therapist for many years at Pulmonary Health Services. He was an avid fisherman and sports fan. He loved to vacation with his family in Topsail Island, NC. He will be deeply missed. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 from 2-8 p.m. Funeral prayer on Thursday morning at 9:00. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Francis of Assisi Church at 10:00 a.m.

    My deepest condolences to Jim's family. He was a student of mine back in the 80's. I remember the passing of his sister, Kelli. Jim was always kind and gentle to his classmates as well as his teachers. May his memory be eternal.
