Obituary For Joan E. Camp

August 27, 1931 - May 25, 2017

Age 85, born on August 27, 1931, died on Thursday, May 25, 2017, formerly of Mt. Oliver.

Beloved wife of the late Robert L. Camp; loving mother of Carol Lynn (the late Michael) D'Abruzzo, David Allen (Montrae) and the late Thomas Anthony; proud grandma of Thomas A. III, Kelli M., Natalie M. (Kevin), Jason D. and Kathryn "Munchkin"; great-grandmother of Dominic, Danielle, Alyssa, Braydon and Evelynn; daughter of the late Robert Wilson and Elizabeth Groomes; sister of Theresa "Candy", Kathleen and the late Robert, Donald and Steven "Rusty". Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Joan was an exceptional domestic engineer and in her spare time was an avid reader. She will be missed deeply by all who knew and loved her. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227, Monday from 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Prayer on Wednesday morning at 9:15. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Virgin Church at 10:00 a.m.
