Obituary For Joan Ickert

January 30, 1945 - June 26, 2018

Ickert, Joan (Bieri), age 73, on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 of Baldwin.

Loving mother of Daryl Ickert; beloved daughter of the late John and Helen Bieri; sister of Maryann (Charles) Vitale. Also survived by her niece Sharon (Larry) Hokaj, her nephew and godson Michael (Karen) Vitale, their families and her former husband Donald W. Ickert. Joan was known for always finding the best deals at the flea market, was a member of the St. Elizabeth Seniors and enjoyed nature, especially feeding the birds. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Thursday, June 28, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral prayer on Friday morning at 9:15. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church at 10:00 a.m. If desired, family suggests contributions to American Heart Association/American Stroke Association, 444 Liberty Avenue, Suite 1300, Pittsburgh, PA 15222.

    Daryl: Our sincere sympathy in the loss of your Mother. She always called and talked with us on holidays. She will be missed. We just now happened to see this. Although we live in Florida, research brought us to find out about this!
