Joann R. Covert, age 80, passed peacefully on Thursday, August 3, 2023, of Carrick, formerly of Jefferson Hills. Beloved mother of Ashley (Tim) Michel and Ed (Monica) Covert; grandmother of Ava, Ashton and Annalise; daughter of the late Edward and Mildred Covert; sister of Eileen Sporio, Nancy Clendenning and the late Robert "Bobby" Covert. Also survived by her nieces, nephews and cousins. Joann loved to spend her time shopping, but above all else devoted her time to her children, grandchildren and family. She was loved by all and will be deeply missed. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Thursday, August 10, 2023 from 5-8 p.m. where a service will be held on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
