Marwood, Joanne M. (O’Hanlon) age 89 of Brentwood, peacefully surrounded by family, passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2020. Beloved wife of 69 years to Charles J. Marwood; loving mother of Kathy (Jerry) Pasquinelli and Tom (Cathy) Marwood; dear grandmother of Melissa Lenigan, Matt (Kazie) Pasquinelli, Tim (Megan) Pasquinelli, Dan Marwood (Melodie Rumuly), Emily Marwood (fiancé Michael J. Morrill) and the late Ryan Lenigan; great-grandmother of Mila, Riley, Jack, Lucas and Hanlon. Joanne was raised in Brentwood and then her family moved to Carrick where she attended and graduated from Carrick High School. It was there where she met the love of her life, Chuck. High school sweethearts turned into 69 years of marriage. They enjoyed many years of dancing and listening to their songs “Come Rain or Come Shine” and “Day by Day” by Frank Sinatra. Joanne and Chuck moved to Brentwood where they raised their two children. Joanne was very active in the Brentwood community enjoying her time as President of the Elroy PTA, President of the Brentwood Century Club and Director of the Brentwood Recreation Board. Joanne also had a successful career as a banker working for Equibank, starting as a teller and working her way up to head teller of the Brentwood office. Joanne was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and then much to her joy, a great-grandmother. She enjoyed seeing her grandchildren grow up and then was blessed with five great-grandchildren. Joanne was humbled and thrilled when Ryan named his son, Hanlon, in honor of her maiden name. Sitting in her recliner, she loved when all the grand and great-grandchildren would come and give her a hug. We will all miss her lovely smile and the loving way she would give sound advice. Joanne is going to be missed by all who knew her. The Marwood Family would also like to extend a special thank you to Family Hospice for the amazing and compassionate care they provided. Due to the current public health crisis, visitation will be held privately. Friends and family are welcome to a Mass of Christian Burial at Blessed Trinity Parish, St. Sylvester Church on Monday, November 2, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be held privately at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
