July 13, 1967 - October 25, 2017

Garcia, Joel E.

Age 50, finally found peace, on Wednesday, October 25, 2017, of Pittsburgh. Husband of Lourdes Garcia; beloved father of Enrique, Jose' and Luis (Maria) Garcia; son of Josephine and the late Ramon Garcia. Also survived by his brothers, sisters, nephews and nieces. Joel believed strongly in "family is forever." Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Saturday, November 4, 2017 from 12-4 p.m., at which time a celebration of Joel's life will occur.

    I am just learning of Joel's passing and I am so deeply saddened to read this. Joel was a kind man and I greatly enjoyed working with him and the talented members of his church ~ during the times we combined services at the former Knoxville UP Church.
