Obituary For John D. "J.D." Bryte

May 30, 1930 - April 22, 2018

Bryte, John D. "J.D." Age 87, on Sunday, April 22, 2018, of Whitehall, formerly of Uniontown.

Beloved husband of 57 years to LaVerne Dennis Bryte; loving father of Scott (Kathleen) and Kelly (Wade) Wycoff; cherished grandad of Zachary and Meghan Bryte and Riley and Maddison Wycoff; son of the late Paul and Ruth Bryte; brother of Jane Moll, Asher Bryte and the late William Bryte. J.D. served in the U.S. Army, 3rd Calvary during the Korean War. He was a longtime employee of Schneider's Dairy until his retirement as Treasurer and was a member of Berkeley Hills Lutheran Church. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227, Tuesday, April 24, 2018, 2 -4 and 6-9 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday in Berkeley Hills Lutheran Church at 11 a.m. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET IN CHURCH. In lieu of flowers, family suggests contributions to ELCA World Hunger in care of Berkeley Hills Lutheran Church, 517 Sangree Rd., Pgh., PA 15237 or www.elca.org.
