Bartus, John F. Age 80, on Tuesday, March 27, 2018, of Baldwin, formerly of Southside.

Beloved husband of the late Charlotte H. (Mojta) Bartus; loving father of Michael (Denise) Bartus, Cheryl (Jimmy) Paterni, Mark (Diane) Bartus and the late Nancy Gaughan; adoring Dziadzi of Sean, Jeffrey, Jeremy (Stacey), Christy, Nicholas, Melissa, Katelyn, Sam, Mark (Melissa J.) and Lynn; Great-Dziadzi of Donna Jean; son of the late John M. and Stella (Ruszala); brother of the late Ronald W. Bartus; also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and their families. John was the former president of the Polish Falcons Nest 8, a former national board member of the Polish Falcons of America, and founding member of the Kosciuszko Foundation Pittsburgh Chapter. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227, Sunday, April 1, 2018, from 5-8 p.m and Monday, April 2, 2018, from 2-8 p.m. Funeral Prayer on Tuesday morning at 9:15. Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Angels Church at 10:00 am.
