Obituary For John M. Holowatyj

Age 67, surrounded by loved ones on Thursday, April 20, 2023, of Baldwin, formerly of Carrick.

Beloved husband of Ann (Szmul); father of Gregory and Michael Holowatyj; son of the late Dmytro and Anna Holowatyj; brother of Mary (the late Mark) Byrum and the late Irene Holowatyj; uncle of James (Erin) Byrum; great-uncle of Olive Byrum; brother-in-law of Tony (Kristina) Szmul. John was a lifelong member of St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Church and a representative of UNA. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Sunday, April 23, 2023 form 3-7 p.m. Parastas on Sunday evening at 6:00 p.m. Funeral Service on Monday in St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church,109 S 7th Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15203 at 9:30 a.m. Everyone please meet at church. May God grant John eternal rest. Vichnaya Pamyat.
