Obituary For John Petrolo

April 6, 1929 - December 17, 2018

Petrolo, John Age 89, unexpectedly on Monday, December 17, 2018, of Whitehall, formerly of Squirrel Hill and Republic, PA.

Beloved husband of 55 years to the late Genevieve M. (Durigon); loving father of Gianna Yeckley, John (Lisa) and Jason (Kim) Petrolo; proud "Pap Pap" of Evan and Eric Yeckley and Katie Elizabeth Petrolo; brother of Frances Leon and predeceased by sisters. After graduating from Carnegie Tech (CMU), John was employed as a metallurgical engineer at the Westinghouse Research Center and the Bettis Plant. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227, Thursday, December 20, 2018, from 3-8 p.m. where a blessing service will be held on Friday morning at 10:00 a.m.
