Sliwinski, John R. Age 88, peacefully with his family surrounding him, on Saturday, July 15, 2017, of Baldwin Borough.

Beloved husband of 57 years to Ginny Sliwinski; loving dad to Tammy (Ben) Tylenda; adoring papa to Brad and Matt Tylenda; son of the late John and Mary Sliwinski; brother of Irene (the late Tim) Zemba, Esther (the late Ed) Weber and the late Loretta and Walt Waldo and Sophie and Al Vogt; brother-in-law of Gloria (the late Yorkie) Toth. Also survived by numerous nephews, nieces and friends. John was a proud Korean War veteran, a retired long-time employee of J&L/LTV Steel and was at his happiest watching his grandsons play hockey.
