Obituary For John T. Patterson

Age 73, after a battle not won, but not surrendered, on Wednesday, September 9, 2020, of Whitehall.

Beloved husband of 50 years to Linda (Schanck); loving father of Wendy (Todd) Bodner, Kristy (Shawn) Larson and Timothy (Carrie Thompson) Patterson; blessed Pappy of five beautiful grandchildren; brother of Patricia Patterson and the late Kenneth Patterson. There are no more restraints, you're now able to run free into the arms of our Lord. Funeral service will be held privately at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227.

    Linda and family. I am so sorry to hear of your loss. This has been a rough year for everyone. I remember John's BIG personality. I see him in my mind with his arms extended welcoming my friends and me to a picnic. Its been wY too long to be out of touch. Unfortunately i am not able to speak on the phone because i have been diagnosed with als and it has impacted my bulbar region that control speech.
