May 22, 1933 - August 25, 2015 Tomasits, Joseph Anthony, Sr. On Tuesday, August 25, 2015, a resident of Baldwin Boro for 50 years. Joe was born on May 22, 1933 and grew up in Mungeltown. Husband of 32 years to the late Jean (Bocheneck) and of seven years to the late Patricia (Boyle Long); father of Michael C. (Suzanne), Andrew J. (Jennifer) and the late Joseph A., Jr. (survived by Alicia) Tomasits; grandfather of Joseph M., Julia Jean, Jack C., Lea, Alex and Jake; brother of the late James R., Albert R. and Paul E. Tomasits; also survived by many in-laws, nieces and cousins. I love you all. Joe was a Korean War Veteran, attended the University of Pittsburgh and was the General Superintendent for Noralco Corporation for 50 years. He was a Board Member serving on the Baldwin Planning Commission, EDS, and the Baldwin Historical Society. Joe was also a member of the American Legion Nix-Vogel Post 935. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227, Thursday and Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Prayer on Saturday morning at 10:45. Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Angels Church at 11:30 am. In lieu of flowers, family suggests contributions be made to the Baldwin Borough Library, 41 Macek Drive #115, Pittsburgh, PA 15227.
