Albano, Joseph Carl Age 89, on Monday, June 16, 2014 peacefully, surrounded by family, of Mt. Lebanon, formerly of Mt. Washington.

Former husband of the late Teresa R. (Merendino) Albano; father of Joseph Michael Albano, Maureen Teresa (Theodore Galante) Albano, Christine Ann (Curtis) Newman and the late Carl S. Lucci and Patricia Ann Albano; grandfather of Sean Albano and Lucian, Mia Galante and Louise Lucci; great-grandfather of Jordan, Abryana, Christopher, and Brandyn; brother of Constance Tuszynski and the late Marie (John) Zanchetta, Rose Albano, Clarice (Don) Fox, Floriann (Richard) Tarr. Joe was a longtime employee of Thomas Register where he retired at the age of 74. He was a proud U.S.Army Veteran, serving during World War II, and was an avid clarinetist. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227, Thursday from 4-8 p.m. and Friday from 2-8 p.m. Funeral Prayer on Saturday morning at 9:00. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Bernard Church at 10 AM. In lieu of flowers, family suggests contributions to American Lung Association of PA, 810 River Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15212.
