Obituary For Joseph Michael Barrett

August 3, 1957 - July 14, 2015

Barrett, Joe, age 57, quietly at home, on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 of Baldwin. Beloved husband of 32 years to Tracy Barrett; proud father of Michael "Mick" Barrett; brother of Cathy Zandier, Frank, John, Andy and the late Judy Barrett; son-in-law of Anne O'Malley. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Joe was an avid Pittsburgh Pirates Fan, had a big heart, and was always full of love and fun. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Saturday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. where a Celebration of Life Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. If desired, family suggests contributions to the Pirate's Charities, Miracle League Field, 60 N. Ben Franklin Road, Indiana, PA 15701.

    My condolences and deepest sympathies to Tracy Barrett and the entire family, Joe was a great friend - never judged and always made me and my girls feel part of his family. So sorry I did not get to see him since the girls and I moved back to Pittsburgh.
