October 26, 1947 - March 14, 2016

Davic, Judith C. (Scullen) Age 68, of Whitehall, formerly of Brentwood, passed away on Monday, March 14, 2016, after a short, courageous and valiant battle with cancer. Mother of Kelly (Ed) Puisis and Nicole Mersch and one son; grandmother of Katie, Sammie, Abbie and Eddie Puisis and Maddie and Sydney Mersch; daughter of the late John F. and Floreine S. Scullen; sister of Sharon Lewis, Margaret Carwile and Janet, Patrick, and James (Terri) Scullen. Also survived by cousins, Joanie (Ralph) Moeller and Lynda (Richard) Germano, and several nieces and nephews. Judy was baptized and married in St. Sylvester Church, attended St. Sylvester Elementary School and Church, and graduated from Brentwood High School in 1965. She also took care of her Dad and Mom in their declining years until their deaths. Judy worked many years for Citizens Bank, and finished her banking job in the Bethel Park Office. She had many friends in banking with whom she worked, especially Joe Betten. She always gave gifts to people and friends who helped her. The family would like to thank her neighbors, Rich and Cyndi Kirsch. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227, on Thursday and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Prayer on Saturday morning at 9:15. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Sylvester Church at 10:00 a.m Following cremation, interment will be in Queen of Heaven Cemetery. The family would like to thank Bridges Hospice for Judy's care. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to American Cancer Society, 320 Bilmar Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15205 in Judy's name.
