Age 79, of Pleasant Hills, PA., died Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Celebration Villa in Pleasant Hills. He was born April 22, 1945, in Pittsburgh, the son of the late Joseph Meyer and Mary Meyer (Tillbaun). Mr. Meyer was a member of St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church. He was a motor winder and repairman for nearly 40 years, 20 of which were with United Industrial Group. He also was active in coaching his son’s sports teams. Surviving are his wife, Diane L. Meyer, whom he married August 17, 1968; also surviving are 2 children, Brandon K. Meyer and his wife, Lynn of Waynesburg, PA, and Diana L. Meyer of Pleasant Hills, PA; 8 grandchildren, Marissa, Andrew, Shawn, Claire, Gabriella, Isabel, Joshua, and Emilia Meyer, all of Waynesburg, PA; 3 sisters, Sr. Mary Meyer, of Wexford, PA, Carol Montgomery, of Hollywood, FL, and Joanie Kvorjak, of Butler, PA; and niece, Joan Weber, of Butler, PA. There will be a private viewing held at the JOHN F. SLATER FUNERAL HOME followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 p.m. on January 21, 2025 at St. Elizabeth’s Roman Catholic Church – Triumph of the Holy Cross Parish located at 1 Grove Place, Pittsburgh, PA 15236. Burial will be in St. Wendelin Cemetery located at 2728 Custer Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15227. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, that memorials be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O.
