Obituary For Kathleen M. (Sokac) Murray

July 21, 1949 - September 11, 2014

Murray, Kathleen M. (Sokac) Peacefully, surrounded by family on Thursday, September 11, 2014, of South Side, formerly of Brentwood.

Loving companion of many years to Norman Schnurr; proud mother of Lisa Kalsey, Dana (Peter) McCabe and David (Kelly Morgan) Murray; beloved GeGe of Kaelyn, Arden, Claire, Paige and Quinn; daughter of Mary Catherine "Kit" (Fabbio) Sokac and the late Walter J. "Sox" Sokac, Sr.; sister of Mary Kay (Denny) Hess, Cindy (Steve) Franceschi, Sandra (Jack) Michalski, Walt (Jan) Sokac and Melissa (Paul) Stadelman. Also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Rd., Brentwood 15227, Sunday from 2-7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial on Monday morning in St. Sylvester Church at 10:00. Everyone please meet at church. If desired, family suggests contributions to American Cancer Society, 320 Bilmar Dr., Pittsburgh, PA 15205 or a charity of one's choice.
