Unger, Kenneth E.

Age 86, passed away unexpectedly after an extended illness on Friday, May 2, 2014.

Ken was born in Crafton, PA, and lived in Whitehall. He was an accomplished artist/painter who worked at GRS & W Design and later Exhibitgroup Giltspur Pittsburgh, where his largest account was VW, his car of choice. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, a gardener, an avid bowler, and a fan of all Pittsburgh professional sports teams. He enjoyed several memorable vacations with Pat (Patricia G. Unger), his late wife of almost 60 years, in one of their favorite spots on earth, Maui, HI. Ken was a man of few words but, without question, a man who always cared deeply for his family. He is survived by his loving daughters, Lauren S. (John) Vause of Louisville, KY and Leslie S. Unger of Berlin, Germany; and his three grandsons, Marino Cole Unger-Verna, Aaron Gibson and Matthew Steward Vause. No visitation. A memorial service will be held at a future time, to be announced.
