February 1, 1929 - May 21, 2018 Haywiser, Lawrence W., age 89, on Monday, May 21, 2018 of Baldwin Boro. Beloved husband of 60 years to Florence (Bayer) Haywiser; loving father of Mark (Ellen), Ruth Ann (David) Grisnik, Keith (Julie), Jean (John) Hensler, Judy (Richard) Brueggman, and Eric (Leah); cherished Pap of Fr. Isaac (Paul) O.S.B., Peter, Luke and Stephen Haywiser; Ryan (Alexa), and Emily Grisnik; Cory (Mary), and Chelsea (Jason) Haywiser; Allison (Adam) Dillner, Sean, and Lauren Hensler; Brittney (George) Barr, Holly, Grace, and Diana Brueggman; Elsa, Ada, and Clara Haywiser; joyful great-grandpap of Sarah Barr; son of the late Lawrence M. and Ada C. Haywiser; brother of the late Richard (Dolores) Haywiser and Evelyn (Bud) Gastel. Also survived by numerous in-laws nieces and nephews. Lawrence worked for 42 years for the Carnegie Hero Fund Commission until his retirement. He volunteered for many years as a Eucharistic Minister for Jefferson Hospital and enjoyed gardening and traveling with St. Elizabeth Seniors. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 from 2-8 p.m. Funeral prayer on Thursday morning at 9:15.
