Laughlin Family
We truly feel the world is a lesser place with the passing of LaVerne. LaVerne and her family lived two doors down from our grandparents for several years. Our frequent trips to Pittsburgh enabled us to create a relationship between our families and numerous memories remain vivid in our minds and in our hearts. LaVerne lit up any room she entered with her infectious laugh and even bigger smile. We giggled when she called our Pap "JoeJoe" and when she sang "My Melody of Love" and "Elvira" with our Gram! The numerous attempts to teach us how to polka in Gram's kitchen never worked but every time we hear polka music, we think of those two great ladies. Her Christmas card was always received first each year and meant the kickoff to the holiday season for our family. It's with such sad sorrow that we send our sympathy to the entire Svitek family. Thank you so much for sharing her with us! GOOD NIGHT LAVERNE! Love, The Laughlin Family Kingston, New York

I am deeply sorry for the loss of Grandma Svitek, I have many memories of her but the one I'll cherish most is that she welcomed me into the family from day one, and I will miss her dearly. Love you Grandma. "Round like a 🍩

I'm having a very difficult time imagining my life without you now, Grammy, but I will forever cherish our precious visits, countless games of deuces wild & Uno (green 8's and ham!!), playing bingo & war, listening to polkas & other music, watching Andy Griffith, and just simply talking to/sharing my days with you! You'll always be my girlfriend who I love a bushel & a peck and a hug around the neck! Enjoy your reunion with Pappy, Uncle Stevie, Great Grandma, Great Grandpap, Uncle Chuck, Uncle Bobby, Uncle John, Aunt Winnie, etc. and keep the cards ready for when we meet again!! Hi Ho Silver, away (Elvira)! I love you! Di Di
