Age 90, of Baldwin, passed away on Friday, September 26, 2025. Born in Pittsburgh on May 25, 1935, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 54 years, Howard Eck, her parents, Ernest and Theresa (Piatkowski) Marsak and sister, Carole Schaner Dogru. Lois is survived by her loving family and friends. A loving mother to Thomas (Veronica) Eck and Gary (Nancy) Eck, she is better known as ‘Grammy Lolo’, and will be missed tremendously by her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and many nieces & nephews; Hannah (Matthew) Maurice, Abigail (Samuel) Stajduhar, Margaret (Cody) Boring, Maddie and Lydia Hood, Keri Williams, Brittany, Justin and Erin Bell. She was honored to be a Great Grammy to Ka’leah, Penelope, and Luca.
Lois worked at PNC bank in downtown Pittsburgh for 40 years. She loved spending her summers with her family at Yough Lake; enjoying boating, swimming and friendship. She also enjoyed spending time with her friends at the casino playing the slots and attending Steelers games. She was an avid reader, a thrift queen, a storyteller, a true Yinzer, and most importantly the strong matriarch of the Eck family. She will be tremendously missed by all.
