Obituary For Lois Ann (Priore) Maenz

Maenz (Priore), Lois Ann Age 83, of Castle Shannon, on Saturday, May 21, 2022.

Beloved wife of 61 years to the late Harry D. Maenz; treasured mother of J.D. (Nancy), Kurt (Kim), Mark (Debbie), Barbara and Jason; proud grandmother of Regina, Melanie (Andrew), Miranda (Roger), Clarissa, Brianna, and Elyssa; cherished daughter of the late Frank and Frances Priore; dear sister of the late Patricia (Arnie) McComis. Lois was a nurse at South Side Hospital for over 40 years, working full-time on the night shift while raising her family so that she never missed a single event for her kids. She was skilled in crocheting, sewing, and was also an excellent crafter, making ceramic holiday sets and afghans for each of her children. One of her greatest wishes was to have "good kids" and we'd like to think she got that, through her hard work and dedication to motherhood. Lois will be sadly missed by her children, grandchildren, and her "grand-dogs". Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Rd., Brentwood 15227, Thursday, May 26, 2022 from 2-8 p.m., where a funeral service will be held in the chapel on Friday at 10:00 a.m.
