Obituary For Louis C. Englert

April 22, 1932 - August 19, 2016

Englert, Louis C. Age 84, on Friday, August 19, 2016, of Castle Shannon.

Husband of 60 years to Mary Louise (Vesco); father of William (Marylou) Englert and Josephine (Joe) Divel; brother of Irene DeMare and the late Gerald, Bernadette Kurtz and Adam Englert; grandfather of Clara (Brian) Trueblood, Mary Jo (Bryan Moats) Julie (Mike) Klass, Laura (Kenny) Schlax and Sarah Divel; great-grandfather of Henry Louis Trueblood. Louis was a life member of the Carrick Eagles #1520, Army Veteran, and member of the Castle Shannon Senior Citizens and St. Gabriel's Men's Club. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227, Sunday from 6-8pm and Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Funeral Prayer on Tuesday morning at 9:15. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Gabriel of The Sorrowful Virgin Church at 10:00 am. If desired, family suggests contributions to St. Gabriel o f The Sorrowful Virgin Church, 5200 Greenridge Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15236 or a charity of one's choice in Louis' name.
