Beloved husband of 72 years to Ruth (Dehn); loving father of Darlene Dionisio, Elaine (Sam) Thurner and Eileen Papariella; proud grandfather of Erica (Thomas) Zaritski, Jennifer Dionisio, Billy (Samantha) Thurner, Michael Thurner, Amber (Chris ) Haines, Joseph (Lisa) Papariella and Amy (Paul) Riskus; great-grandfather of Hannah, Tommy, Luke, Gracie, Shane, Alana, Casey, Jordan, Cailey, Alexis, Tyler, and Crosby; brother of Patricia Brady; Betty Mosley and the late Margaret Maleck and William Ellis. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227, Sunday, October 22, 2017, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Prayer on Monday morning at 9:45. Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Apostles Parish, St. Basil Church at 10:30 a.m.
