Obituary For Madeline Saracco

Age 97, passed away peacefully at her home in Jefferson Hills on Wednesday, June 15, 2022. Born and raised in McKeesport, PA, Madeline was the daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Prailey Rendin and was preceded in death by her brothers, Larry and Phillip Rendin. She was the devoted wife to the late Thomas R. Saracco, M.D. for 66 years; loving mother of Thomas R. (Marilyn) Saracco, Gregory M. (Jacqueline) Saracco, M.D., and Elisabeth Saracco; a caring grandmother to her five grandchildren who affectionately called her DeeDee, Anne (Matthew) Thalman, Rebecca (Shane) DeVincent, Aaron Dadisman, Emily (Nicholas) Natsios and Sarah Dadisman; seven cherished great-grandchildren, Carter, Addison and Ava DeVincent, William, Sophia and Audrey Thalman and Lyla Natsios. She leaves many beloved nieces and nephews. Madeline was a resident of Brentwood for 59 years and was involved in many community activities. She was an accomplished and talented homemaker. During World War II, she worked in the advertising department at the Westinghouse Corporation. She was the first President of the Jefferson Regional Medical Center Auxiliary. A member of South Hills Country Club from 1947- present, Madeline was an avid golfer who played until the age of 90. Friends and family will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood, PA 15227 on Monday, June 20, 2022 from 2-7 p.m. Funeral prayer on Tuesday morning at 9:00. Mass of Christian Burial in Triumph of the Holy Cross Parish, St. Thomas a' Becket Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be held at Jefferson Memorial Park immediately following.     I wish I had met Madeline earlier in my life. We became friends a few short years ago. She was intelligent, kind and generous. She truly loved her family. Fortunately, I was able to spend some time with her shortly before she passed.
