Obituary For Madelyn Stella Hirt

May 27, 1927 - September 14, 2016

Hirt, Madelyn "Honey" Age 89, on Wednesday, September 14, 2016, of Southside.

Wife of the late Richard F. Hirt; mother of Richard (Peggy), Judith (Thomas) Joyce, Ronald (Josie), Kevin (Karen), Janet (Bill) Matthews and Kenny (Cindy) Hirt; 15 grandchildren and 19 plus great-grandchildren; sister of Cliff (Veronica) Moeller; predeceased by six other siblings; also survived by nieces and nephews. Family was #1 in her life and she will be deeply missed. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227, Saturday and Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Prayer on Monday morning at 9:15. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Sylvester Church at 10:00 am. If desired, family suggests contributions to American Macular Degeneration Foundation, www.macular.org/how-donate.
