Andrews, Margaret "Peggy" (McMahon)

Age 71, on Saturday, March 29, 2014, of Pleasant Hills .

Beloved wife of the late Richard Andrews; loving mother of Kelly Andrews, Michael (Danelle) Andrews, Christopher (Caroline) Andrews and the late Timothy (Marni) Andrews; proud grandmother of Patrick, Megg, Mary-Kate, Caitlyn, Courtney, Annie and Addison; daughter of the late John J. and Margaret "Peg" McMahon; sister of Robert (Patricia) McMahon; sister-in-law of Regina (Dan) Jones; also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227, Tuesday and Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Prayer on Thursday morning at 9:15. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church at 10:00 am.

    Kelly, Michael, Chris and families.....we just heard the news of your mother's passing. We were shocked and saddened by this. We did not see the obituary in the Daily News, and were just told this morning when Mark Russell came back from vacation. I am so sorry for your loss.....and I am deeply sorry that Mike and I were unable to attend the funeral and comfort you during your loss. We just didn't know. We love your family and loved your mom and dad equally. They were such a special part of our family and my mom and dad were so happy when your parents visited them, and they could spend time together. Well now if there is any comforting words to say it is that your parents and my parents are all together again in Heaven with your brother too. You have my deepest sympathy and know you are all in our thoughts and prayers. Please contact me anytime, I would love to email, or chat back and forth, I'd like to stay in touch.
