Obituary For Margaret Ann Dolan

May 23, 1947 - May 29, 2017

Dolan, Margaret "Peggy" (Reed), age 70, on Monday, May 29, 2017 of Bon Air. Beloved wife of the late James P.; loving mother of James W. (Kim), Michael P. (Heather) and Jennifer (Tom) Minda; grandmother of Jimmy, Mikey, Jacki, Eli, Nicky, Johnny, Robbie and Blake; sister-in-law of Rosie Wyse. Also survived by loving nieces and nephews. Peggy worked in the Pittsburgh Public School system for over 35 years. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Thursday from 2-8 p.m. Funeral prayer on Friday morning at 9:30. Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Apostles Parish, St. Basil Church at 10:30 a.m. If desired, family suggests contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

    I want to pass my deepest sympathy to Jimmy, Mike and Jennifer. I loved your mom like my own and will never forget her laugh and her brute. She fought to the bitter end and will be terribly missed. She was always there to feed us or just to listen to what we had to say. Jen, you are growing up to be strong like your mom and stay that way. A message to the grandsons of Mr. and Mrs. D, remember that name they gave you and be proud of it and keep it strong. I was so proud of you boys and I know your Grandmother would be proud of the way you carried yourselves during this difficult time. We love you all and you are forever our family.

    Dear Dolan Family, We all wanted to send our condolences to your family on the passing of your Mom. We are so so sorry, she was a great lady and cared for my children when I returned to the work force back in the 80's! To all of you we send hugs and love in this sad time.
