Obituary For Margaret B. Studnicki

January 31, 1936 - May 29, 2018

STUDNICKI, MARGARET B.

On Tuesday, May 29, 2018, of Zelienople, formerly of Bethel Park. Margie was forever proud to be one of the 13 Boyles of Carrick. She met her future husband, Leonard Studnicki, at the St. Anne's Church young adults group in Castle Shannon. They married in 1962, settled in Bethel Park, and raised their family in the house they built, with Margie remaining there among cherished neighbors until after Lennie's death in 2012.

Margie was the beloved mother of Diane (Graham) Standish of Zelienople, Susan (Tom) DePra of Wexford, and Nancy (Ed) Komm of Jupiter, FL. She was a devoted Grandma to Erin and Shea Standish and Shannon and Justin Komm, who will always remember the giant chocolate-chip cookies she baked just for them.

Daughter of the late Patrick and Agnes (Devlin) Boyle, Margie is survived by her dear brothers, the Rev. Robert J. Boyle of Crafton and James (Kathy) Boyle of Cary, NC. She was also the sister of the late Agnes, Joseph, William, Paul, Regina ("Jean"), Charles ("Rocky"), Raymond, Eugene ("Knute"), Thomas, and Henry ("Hank") Boyle. What a joyous, card-playing reunion they must be having! Margie is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A long-time member of St. Germaine Church, Margie was active in the Ladies of Charity ministry there. She cherished her faith and was always within arm's reach of a rosary.

Margie's family thanks the staff of Passavant Retirement Community in Zelienople, who helped care for her during the past year.

Funeral arrangements are as follows: Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 4201 Brownsville Road, Pittsburgh, PA, 15227 on Friday, June 1, 2018 from 3-8 p.m. Funeral prayer on Saturday morning at 10:00. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Germaine Church at 11 a.m. Saturday.

If desired, please send memorial donations to The Chimbote Foundation, 111 Boulevard of the Allies, Pittsburgh, PA, 15222 (www.chimbotefoundation.org).

As I try to describe Mrs. Studnicki I find that I am at a loss for words. She was a woman of great faith. She never just talked the talk but gave of herself to her family, her church and her friends. She was a great friend to my mother and they enjoyed their Ladies of Charity visits and lunches out. I know mom will miss knowing she is there, but like us all she will be happy that Margie is at peace in the loving arms of her maker, with her Lennie and the rest of her family. My condolences to all of the family.
