Obituary For Margaret Jane McDonough

December 14, 1939 - December 27, 2015

McDonough, Margaret "Margie", "BeBe" (Allan), of South Park, formerly of Brentwood. Wife of the late Martin "Mo" McDonough; beloved mother of Patty (Peter) Mattesi, and Chrissy (Donny) Recker; caring grandmother of Vincent, Nicholas, and Dominic Vecchio, Danielle, Megan, and Ryan Recker; daughter of the late William and Margaret (Pode) Allan; sister of the late Norma (Jean) Vertullo and Grace Himon. Also survived by nieces, nephews and many close friends. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday from 2-8 p.m. Funeral prayer on Thursday morning at 9:15. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Sylvester Church at 10:00 a.m.

    For 76 years Bebee and I were more than friends, we were like sister. I will miss this very special lady everyday. We shared so many good memories together and that I cherish. I love you sweet dear lady, sparkle your sweet smile as you now dance with your love ones in heaven.

    I was a neighbor and friend of Margie's since she moved into Hidden Ridge. I remember especially how she enjoyed the summers at the pool. She will be sorely missed by many. Chrissy & Patty, your Mother loved you very, very much and I pray that God may keep her in His loving care always.
