Obituary For Margaret Mary "Marge" (Dvorsky) Burke

Age 86, on Thursday, October 9, 2025, of Whitehall.

Beloved wife of 63 years to William J. "Sgt" Burke; loving mother of Lisa A. (Paul) Denk, Linda J. (Eric) Schueler, Rev. Thomas J. Burke and her honorary son, Rev. Stephen A. Kresak; cherished grandmother of Michael, Matthew, Thomas Denk and Wyatt, Donovan, Killian, Keegan Schueler; great-grandmother of Logan Denk and Miles Schueler; sister of the late Albert, Hedy and Thomas Dvorsky. Margaret worked as a secretary for the Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh, ALCOA, and Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. She was a devoted longtime member of Blessed Trinity Parish. She was also a member of the FOP Lodge 1 Auxillary. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Sunday, October 12, 2025 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral prayer on Monday morning at 10:15. Mass of Christian Burial in Blessed Trinity Parish, St. Albert the Great Church at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, family suggests contributions to St. Vincent de Paul of Blessed Trinity Parish, 3198 Schieck Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15227 or Saints Joachim and Anne Parish, 101 McLay Drive, Elizabeth, PA 15037 or Little Sisters of the Poor, 1028 Benton Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15212.
