Obituary For Marguerite L. "Marg" Stauffer

November 16, 1922 - August 16, 2014

Stauffer, Marguerite L. "Marg" Age 91, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 16, 2014, of Overbrook.

Loving and devoted wife of the late Charles (Charlie) Stauffer; mother of Karen (Bob) Clager, Chuck (Carol), Linda (Joe) Paul, Russell and the late Harry; loving grandma of 17 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Marguerite was also a great-great-grandma-to-be. Also survived by several nieces and nephews; sister of the late Rose Christovitch. Marg was a long-time employee of Aramark at the Civic Area and the Convention Center and loved every minute of it. Her favorite hobbies were spending time with her grandchildren and supporting the Meadows Casino. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227, on Monday and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral prayer on Wednesday morning at 9:15. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Sylvester Church at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Captain Harry R. Stauffer Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o Gannon University, 109 University Square, Erie, PA 16541.

    We are so very sorry for the loss of Marg. We had a lot of good times with her and Chuck. She was like a member of our family. She will be missed.

    We are so sorry for the passing of Marguerite. She was my godmother and I appreciate all the times she gave me permanents as a little girl and how thoughtful she was to remember all my birthdays and how close she was to my family. She was a very special person and loved by many. She was always so thoughtful. We hope she is happy in Heaven with Jesus.
